Anglo Indian Silver Coin Box Half Rupee King George V Colonial Unusual For Sale
A very interesting and unusual Anglo Indian Colonial silver coin box. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver. It dates to the early 20th century having a King George V silver half rupee coin to its lid and base. The coins are dated 1918 on the lid and 1934 to the base. The sides have been made from coins hence it looks like a pile of ten coins. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. Its lid screws on perfectly and tightly. It measures 1 inch (2.5cms) across by 5/8ths of inch (1.4cms) tall and weighs 23 grams. A very unusual and interesting piece.
