Ansco Agfa 5 x 7 Universal Large Format Camera

An amazingly beautiful camera of dark stained cherry with a gloss lacquer and brass fittings and knobs. It has both front and back focus via rack and pinion (gear tracks on brass rails), doublerailextension, with double swing back, with shifting and rising front via brass knobs.

I discovered these were made from 1926 through 1935 and this is an earlier model due to the fact it has black bellows. The bellows look to be in good shape with the exception of a top separation that looks like it could be easily glued… Please see picture. To be very clear this camera has sat in the closet in my family home for over 50 years. My dad last used it in 1965 or 70. So I do not know if the camera works or not. It is being sold as is and must be gone through be an experienced person who understands these cameras. So before you offer please understand this camera has not been operated for 40 plus years.

The shutter is a Betax No 2 which seems to open and close okay. I am not a photographer so cannot speak to the technicalities but the shutter opens and closes and the speed changers work.

The lens is a Wollensack Raptar 105 MM 4.7.

Also included is a Kodak Anastigmat 135mm 4.5 lens but I don’t know how it fits.

Also included is a Lisco 5 x 7 cut film holder, a 4x 5 adaptor plate and another lensmount.
