IMPORTANT offerDING AND PAYMENT INFORMATION: IF YOU PLAN TO offer ON THIS ITEM AND ARE THE HIGH buyer I WOULD LIKE TO ASK THAT YOU DO NOT PAY ME UNTIL YOU RECEIVE MY INVOICE NOT THE INVOICE THAT IS GENERATED IMMEDIATELY AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SALE BY . now has rules that all sellers MUST ship items for which they have been paid within one business day without exception. Those who follow my sales and have bought from me over the years know that I have always had a policy of shipping within 24 hours of a sale (see my response), however, there are times when I am out of town unexpectedly for a house call, an sale or an estate call and it simply is not possible to get to the post office in time. Also, if you find that there is more than one item you are interested in offerding on over a given time period and would like to take advantage of combined shipping, please again, DO NOT pay me until the last of those items you're watching has finished. I will then send you an invoice with an adjusted shipping fee which saves on postage.. I never charge a "handling fee". I would rather wait a few days on a payment and extend you the advantage of lower shipping fees than to be paid immediately - not ship - and then be scored negatively by for not shipping soon enough.
Offered in this sale is a wonderful early American pressed glass finger lamp with an applied handle that I would date circa 1860. It measures 10 3/4" tall overall to the top of the chimney. The lamp alone measures 2 5/8" tall to the top of the original brass collar x 3 5/8" wide. The handle is applied. It comes with an early EAGLE burner. The turn knob is embossed P & A Mfg Co Waterbury Conn. The blown glass chimney is crimped around the upper rim. I believe that this too is a period piece. The condition of the lamp is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration. I have carefully checked the handle attachment and can confirm that there are NO HEAT CHECKS or STRESS CRACKS where the top and bottom of the handle meet the font. The burner is also in excellent condition. The turn knob works smoothly. The chimney is free of any chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or evidence of grinding. A nice addition for an early lighting collection. Please feel free to email with any questions. I always guarantee everything that I sell to be as described. This piece is being sold WITHOUT A RESERVE as long as there is an opening offer. High buyer to pay $7.00 shipping/ including insurance - inside the United States. The last six images illustrate other items that I have listed on including a vintage Chinese reverse painting on glass, a group of engraved, blown Sandwich Glass goblets and a group of early Derby porcelain plates. You are offerding on only the one piece in this sale.INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: All international packages under four pounds are mailed International First Class mail unless you specifically request Priority Mail which is, of course, more costly. Items over four pounds must be shipped Priority Mail. Items are shipped within 24 hours of receipt of payment. I would like to kindly ask international buyers to understand that I have no control over the delivery schedule. In most cases packages arrive within 7 - 10 days, however, packages sometimes can be delayed by foreign customs. I would appreciate you not scoring me low on for something out of my control..
