Antique,ceramic, Chemist's Toothpaste Jar Crock Pot Lid For SaleOn offer is this antique, ceramic, transfer-advertized Chemist's toothpaste container produced for W.Woods Chemist, Plymouth. It is in nice condition....just the customary glaze crazing and one small flat flake on the outer flange wall (pic.4)....that's all. The base is a nice fit with just one small foot rim chip. This type of lid was first used in 1880 and continued in use up to 1914, so this particular one would be dated to somewhere between those two dates. The lid measures 2 5/8" in diameter and the complete jar stands about 1 1/2" tall.
