A very fine, antique Victorian/Edwardian micro-beaded, drawstring purse. It features a light beige background covered in clear glass beads on the body of it. Over the background is a floral design of pink and yellow roses, with swags of smaller roses/rosebuds above it, and dark green beads for the foliage surrounding the roses. There is a geometric designed panelbelow the roses executed in bright and navy blue and black beads, cover the bottom third of the purse. Overall, it's a beautifully detailed design, and has great color, with bright white beaded accents on the roses, giving them emphasis. The bottomfeatures a tassel of white beads, coming from a faceted dark green bead- picking up the colors above. The lining is made of a soft, ivory linen, and looks to have beena replacement liner done some time ago, primarily by hand. The top has a crochetedribbon of loopswhich the taupe rope is drawn
Length: 10" with the tassel (which is 2" in itself)Width (at the top): 5 1/2"
Very good condition. No holes. There does seem to be a loss of some of the dark blue beads up near the crocheted top, though minimal - the loss is in a single line of dark blue beads as accent - and there are only a few missing. Otherwise, the beadwork seems to be holding up fairly well.
All items I sell have multiple pictures and are described as completely and accurately as I can, however, I'm no expert. If you have any questions, or require any additional information, please feel free to email, I will try to answer your question within a 24-hour period as best as I can.
I pack things carefully and securely to the best of my ability, and use ample packing material. I do not charge for handling and packaging.
Domestically (inside US), I usually ship USPS Priority Mail, unless otherwise requested, or noted. I will sometimes ship first class for lower-priced items that require only an envelope or such.Delivery Confirmation is included.USPS Insurance costs are not included.
International buyers, I will ship USPS First Class International in most cases, depending on weight. Anything weighing over 4lbs when packed, or valued at more than $400 cannot be shipped First Class, and requires me to send it Priority Mail at a higher rate. I try to keep shipping costs low, so my shipping costs do NOT include Tracking/Registered, nor Insurance. If you want to track the package, it is an extra $12.95 for that service. Insurance costs depend on the final value of the item, approx. $1.50-$2.00 for each $100. Please request either of these if you want them prior to paying, and I will send you a new invoice. Please figure your shipping costs prior to offerding, and if you have a problem doing so with 's program, e-mail for approximate shipping rates, since they vary depending on where you are located.
