Antique 1600\'s Large Beautiful Hand Wrought Iron Door Lock & Key, 16\" Long. This very early primitive door lock was surely mounted on a massive door. It measures 16\" long x 6 1/4\" wide. The key is 6\" long. All of the parts for the door lock, latch and the attractive decorative pieces are hand forged and hand wrought. The key works, it draws the 2 pins back about 3/4\" and holds them in position, the small rectangle moves up & down with the hand latch. We don\'t have the other piece that attached to the door frame. What is pictured is what we have.This would be a great art piece for display. Primitive and a great look! Wonder who and how many people used this so long ago?
