Antique 1881 Victorian Scrapbook Album 48 Pgs Loaded W/ Quality Die Cut Scraps For Sale
Hello & Welcome!I recently acquired this wonderful Victorian Scrapbook at an estate sale in rural Nebraska. The sale was held at a farm owned by three sisters. The sisters had been born on this farm and spent their entire lives there as none had ever married. The last of the three ladies died recently at the age of 100 so a sale was held to settle their estate. Among their fabulous possessions was this Victorian Scrapbook. There was a note inside the scrapbook that read: "Made by father's mother no later than 1881."The Victorian Scrapbook/Album measures 13 3/4" x 11 inches and is in remarkable good condition for it's age. The binding is starting to come loose but so far the pages are still all held within the album. There are a total of 48 pages and every page is absolutely loaded (about 20 - 30 per page) with lovely quality Victorian die cut scraps - some small and some large. I am estimating there are over a 1000 die cut scraps in this book. Subject matter is mainly floral but there are also people, fruit, animals, birds, and a wonderful 11" die cut of a Mississippi Paddle Wheel Ship. The inside of the front and back covers are decorated with glass beaded lace and die cut scraps (see pictures). I have included as many pictures of the pages as would allow me. I would be willing to email the remainder of the pictures of the pages to you if you desired but they are all very similar to what I have posted.Thank you for viewing my sale!
