For your consideration, is an antique Silver top Walking Stick made by Simons Bros & Co of Philadelphia. It has the Simons Bros mark followed by the number “50” and the letter “A”. The mark appears double struck.
This is a presentation stick and is engraved on the top of the handle as follows:
“Mr. I. E. VEBETT
From His Grandsons
1896”
The walking stick measure 33 inches in total. This silver top is 2 inches long.
The silver top is very nicely designed and comes across as very elegant. There is a dent on the top of the cane where the engraving is and also on one side of the top and a few tiny black speckles which I have tried to show in photo #6. The finish of the wood has mostly come off. It is absent of cracks, and is very solid. There is no tip at the bottom of the stick.
There are no visible markings other than those noted above. The top definitely appears silver though without a “925” or “Sterling” mark, I cannot be certain of its composition.
For buyers outside of USA & Canada. Due to the length of the stick international shipping will be expensive. Please contact me prior to offerding.
