Antique 18th Century Brass Dog Collar 1776 H: Schull 18 C For Sale
I have not been able to offer nice items for a while, but here is something special again: a brass dog collar dated 1776 I purchased it at an estate. Many items we’re listed some years ago for insurance reasons by an registered appraiser. This was one of those items and it was declared genuine (as other items have proven already too). The brass has been cut out and thus it says H: SCHULL 1776 (the two vertical dots are actually three but my PC does not have that character)
The closure misses a part, so it cannot be closed at the moment. Right beneath the 1 (1776) the brass has a tear, as can be seen in the pictures.
I have not polished it but it must have been done at some time, it has a nice glow, (and some remnants of old polish). Pictures show light reflections also, which make rims somewhat white, which is not as bad as it looks. Yes, parts of it are the mentioned remnants, I want to be as honest as possible.A good overall polishing would make it shine, but that’s up to you.
Diameter 12 centimeter / 4.8 inches, but its not perfectly round.
A very nice antique dog collar.
Shipping will be USD 33.00 Priority, registered mail. Europe however is $ 27.00, Insurance is possible, we can discuss that when needed. Payment through PayPal or, for Europe IBAN BIC.
