Antique 18th Century Rare George 111 Oval Harewood And Marquetry Tea Caddy. ANTIQUE RARE OVAL GEORGE 111 TEA CADDY. DATED TO AROUND 1790'S.
THE STUNNING 18TH CENTURY RARE OVAL GEORGIAN TEA CADDY IS IN EXCELLENT ANTIQUE CONDITION FOR IT'S AGE OF WELL OVER 200YRS OLD.
WAS MADE IN A TIME WHEN TEA FIRST CAME INTO ENGLAND AND WAS ONLY FOR THE VERY AFFLUENT, IT WAS SO EXPENSIVE IT HAD TO BE LOCKED AWAY.
DESIRABLE OVAL SHAPE AND SIZE.
A RICH DECORATIVE EXOTIC EXTREMELY RARE HAREWOOD TEA CADDY WITH THE MOST EXQUISITE AND PRETTY FLORAL MARQUETRY CENTER INLAY TO TOP WITH A CONTINUOUS FLORAL GARLAND, INLAID INTO A FINE SATINWOOD OVAL WITH EBONY AND BOXWOOD LINES TO EDGE.
THE FRONT IS COVERED WITH MARQUETRY FLOWERS AND LEAVES, ALL FINELY ETCHED IN AN ARRAY OF DIFFERENT EXOTIC VENEERS. STUNNING VERY FINE CRAFTSMANSHIP.
FINE BOXWOOD CORNER LINES TO TOP AND BOTTOM OUTSIDE EDGES.
INSIDE HAS TWO DIVISIONS FOR TEA, RETAINING IT'S ORIGINAL CENTER DIVISION AND TWO FLOATING LIDS WITH SILVER MATCHING BUTTON KNOBS.
RED MATERIAL TO INSIDE LID.
INSIDE THE TOP HAS A FINE BOXWOOD LIPPING FORMING A TIGHT SEAL WHEN CLOSED, RARE TO FIND WITH NO DAMAGE.

All overseas items under 2kg will be sent via Royal Mail and will need to be signed for. Heavy items over 2kg will be be sent via Parcels to Go/Fedex and all will include some insurance to suit.

We accept returns for refund within 7 days after receipt of item. Item must be returned in the condition sent. If item is sent back damage or altered no refund will be given.
