Antique 18thc Worcester Porcelain Bird Scene Leaf Dish Porzellan Platte Plate:
For sale is a really nice leaf shaped dish made by Worcester in the 18th century . The plate has a nice shape to it with two overlapping leaves with the molding detail to make it look even more like a leaf and is hand painted with a nice polychrome bird scene in the center including three birds on the ground in some greenery as well as 6 bugs scattered around the rest of the dish. Some pink trim lines highlighting the veines of the leaves and gold trim to the edge. A really nice looking dish that is not easy to find. The piece is in great condition with some minor firing flaws common to these early wares, some wear to the decoration at the high points and one end of a leaf is chipped. Gilded over to hide it a bit better but it's not very obvious at all and displays nicely! The platter is not marked but that is not uncommon. It is is 1.5 inches tall at the one end and 10.375 inches long by 7.625 inches deep.
