Selling a 19th Century cast bronze bust of a Classical female Greek or Roman sculpture. The piece is French and was casted in the Barbedienne Foundry in Paris. It is marked has shown in the photos. Achille Collas was the inventor of the process of reducing large pieces of art work down to a smaller scale. He died in 1859. The bust stands 9 inches tall. There is no damage to the piece. Just normal wear from handling and cleaning. There are some scratches to the finish on the back of the head where the hair is pulled back. Under the bust where the foundry marks are there are scratches to the finish, I have shown those in the pictures. Email me if you have any questions.
