This bracelet is a one of a kind TRUE Chinese bracelet. Victorian
Chinese jewelry is very rare and hard to find, some of the most sought
after jewelry you can get your hands on, only occasionally have i seen this
type of jewelry. This particular bracelet is a very early example of a Chinese Export bracelet. This bracelet was completely hand crafted by hand anywhere from 1900-1920.That being said the artist completely hand crafted this amazing bracelet out of OLD Spanish Silver 8 Reales made out of .925 sterling silver,Googlethe coin! Very cool! When this bracelet was made during the time period i stated above, China was under British control during Imperial Colonialism. This meant that many countries including Spain were dealing with China and usingtheirown silver coinage! Now to the actual bracelet! This beautiful bracelet is by far one of the rarest Chinese bracelet's that i have ever held in my hands. Chinese Export jewelry is rare enough and does exist, however TRUE Chinese jewelry as ornate as this and meant for theactualChinese just never EVER pops up for sale! Most of Chinese jewelry that was made to stay in China is now held in private collections, this is a true rarity. The bracelet features completely hand crafted silver work by the world famous Chinese silver smith's from the Victorian Era in jewelry. The silver smith's and jewelers out of China during this time period were BY FAR the most skilled silver smith's in the world. The silver smith whocreatedthis amazing and wonderful bracelet did so by flattening old silver coins and then beating them into the desired shape. The artist hand wove a hard metal like silver into the basket weave pattern you see that flows around the sides and the bottom of the bracelet. The top side of the bracelet features a double dragon motif with repousse or "raised" silver work. The dragons aredepictedin the old time Chinese Dragon form. Thedragonsfeature raised snouts as well as hand carved and crafted filigree work along the top side of their heads. The only damage to be seen is slight bends in the raised snout portion of the dragon's heads as well as a very slight indentation in the filigree work on the top of one of the dragon's head. The bracelet also has been dipped with tarnish remover at one time to give it that shiny and beautiful look. The tarnish will come back within a short amount of time if desired. For a bracelet of this age to survive in this immaculate of condition is truly unbelievable, usually these bracelets are completelyshreddedand torn up. The ball portion of the bracelet in between the two dragon's is the very unique and one of a kind screw clasp. The ball spins around to one side allows the screw to unscrew and open the bracelet up,veryunique and very secure! This bracelet truly is a one of a kind masterpiece! Antique TRUE Chinese jewelry is by far the most sought after Chinese jewelry out there, you don't see this type of workmanship or quality any longer! The woman who had this bracelet custom made would of been the richest of the rich, this was not your typical well to do piece of jewelry, this was the crowning jewel to any collection, in other words the Queen piece. The woman would of had this bracelet made exactly to her specifications and spared no expense. This bracelet truly is the crowning jewel to any collection!
Victorian jewelry is some of the rarest jewelry to find and some of the most sought after jewelry! You see, most people during the 1800's could not afford to purchase precious metal jewelry such as this. That being the case it was almost always custom ordered by a rich and wealthy family and hand made. Because of the selective amounts made during this time, not much has survived the years of being broken, melted, and just simply lost with time. This is a true rarity!
Markings:The bracelet is stamped with several Chinese Characters which most likely stands for an Assay office, one of the stamps has a slight indentation as well. The bracelet however has been tested and verified as well guaranteed to be sterling silver. All of our jewelry is tested using an XRF-Spectrometer gun and guaranteed to be as stated.

About Us:We are two young professionals "Alexis" & "Chris". We met in a photography class in college. We both go to college and sell New, Vintage, & Antique jewelry on as a full time job. We are not your typical college aged kids, we know the value of a dollar and what customer service truly means, we will always go out of our way to make our customers as happy as possible. We started out in the jewelry business knowing individuals who were in the smelting business. As we watched these smelters melting new, vintage, & antique 100+ year old jewelry for the metal value, we cringed!! We thought, there must be a way to save this special and once in a lifetime type of jewelry instead of melting these wonderful items.Well then the bright idea of selling these beautiful items smacked us in the face!We started buying small items such as rings, bracelets and necklaces from these smelters and selling these items to wonderful people who would appreciate them and cherish them for a lifetime!
After starting out small time, we started to go to Antique shops, estate sales, estate buy outs, smelters, sales, coin shows, or just about anywhere possible we could get our hands on these wonderful and beautiful jewelry items! We started to set up at trade shows and other events to sell to people, we love the interaction with people! To work more with our school schedule we eventually phased out the trade show atmosphere and started selling jewelry on ! I'm glad we did, you can get just as much interaction with people over the internet as you can face to face. We love all of our customers and love the quick messages anybody likes to send our way! After starting to sell jewelry on we started our business called Aumia Gold & Silver Jewelry And Collectibles LLC, "Aumia" Is Golden Lady in Latin. We try to offer a variety of jewelry from Rings, Necklaces, Pendants, Brooch's, Gold & Silver. We also offer Native American Jewelry, Art Deco Jewelry, Victorian Jewelry, Antique Chinese Jewelry and much much more! We try to post a mix of each variety every day Mon-Fri.
We found our niche! The success on has made this into our full time job. Because of our great loyal customers and new ones every day you are helping us provide an education in Genetics, Biology and soon to be business. We also donate large amounts of money to Rotary. We both heavily believe in helping others and creating wonderful new opportunities internationally and domestically. Aumia has provided us our future and love towards our passion. We can’t see ourselves doing anything else. It is something new every day. I combine my hobby of photography, and meeting new people. We treat people with theutmostrespect and customer service is our main priority. There are always goofy stories about us but too much for an listing.
