This is one of the most rare pieces I have ever had the privilege of restoring. Introducing the Seth Thomas DELOS Adamantine clock. Produced in May of 1904, this 112 year old gem is one of the most desirable Adamantine models of today. This particular clock has been completely restored, which took several months. The case was disassembled piece by piece, thoroughly cleaned, and restored using a three step process to bring back the original high-gloss luster of the clock. The dial is original and is also the more uncommon Roman numeral variety. The bezel was cleaned and also retains its original finish. The hands have been re-blued to appear as they would have when this clock left the factory. The ornamentation on this clock was, unfortunately, too far neglected to save the original finish, however, each piece has been restored to look exactly like it would have originally, replicating the original color. Each delicate scrolling design was also painted with liquid gold leaf by hand to further reinvigorate the original appearance. The original #89 movement has also been completely overhauled. It was disassembled, cleaned, polished, reassembled, oiled, and tested for several weeks to ensure perfect running condition was obtained. It strikes a bell at the half hour and counts the hours on a gong at the hour. The back of this clock is not original, but it still presents very well and the wood and door are from the same era as the clock itself. This clock comes with its original pendulum and an accurate replacement key!
