Antique 1910s J. G. Dill's Best Cut Plug Tin W/ Art Nouveau Lady:
Hello and welcome! This elegant tin dates to the 1910s, the early Art Nouveau era. There is a voluptuous beauty on the cover of it, and it remains in fairly good condition (it does have spots of wear, as shown in pictures). The interior is immaculate. We have left this tin unpolished, preferring the patina. There is a scrap of the original seal present on the side.
The company is J. G. Dill's, "Celebrated for its smoking quality". Made in Richmond, VA.
It measures 3 3/4" across and 2 3/4" wide with a depth of 7/8". It weighs 51 grams.
