Here is a beautiful early Rumidor Humidor. It is the smaller size (probably primarily for Pipe Tobacco and Cigarettes. It has a leather covering and the out side is the most beautiful “dark chocolate” patina that has not been messed with by someone polishing it. When we found it, the originallittle emptycan for Rumidor Rum flavoring was still inside. The inside of the canister w/o the lid is just over 3” deep and about 4 ¼” outside diameter.

This company was started in the late 1920’s and was given a patent I think around 1928. This one is marked \"patent applied for\" so I think that this is quite likely late 1920’s.

It is pretty clean on the inside and has what looks like the original felt bottom. The leather has a gold trim that is still quite visible. There are a few little “dings” to the leather here and there, and a small dent but nothing that seriously detracts from the display of this very functional piece.

I think it’s quite rare. I haven’t seen too many of this style.
