Thisruby has AMAZING LUSTER. Thisruby is a rectangular smooth top Cabochon Cut and really catches the light. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. The gemstone tests as aruby on a Presidium Gem Tester and a reflectometer and is most likeya very high quality lab grown ruby. This gemstone has not been removed from the setting for testing so we cannot say definitively it is a naturalruby as it is most likely a very high quality lab grown ruby. The rise from the finger measurement is the height of the ring from the finger to the peak of the gemstone when worn.
