Antique 1920's Ohara Koson Japanese Woodblock Print Crow Raven Birds In Snow For Sale
I recently acquired an extensive antique Chinese/Asian collection. I am now listing the woodblock prints and art portion of this estate collection. Many rare woodblock prints from the one owner estate.
Up for sale is an original antique Japanese woodblock print by Ohara Koson dating from the 1920's. Woodblock features two ravens or crows sitttng on a snow covered branch. Marked by the artist in the lower corner. Woodblock print is in nice shape with no repairs, a small edge tear on the lower edge measuring about 1/8 inch and is no major deal, small water spot on the lower edge, glue residue on the backside and shows through on the lower edge, some edge wear, no major folds or creases, color is nice and has no fauxing. This woodblock is sold as you see it in the many detailed photos. Actual woodblock print measures approx. 14 9/16 inches by 6 7/16 inches. Very rare woodblock print and would look great framed. Found safely stored away for years at a recent 95 year estate of along time collector and from a smoke free home. The glare spots are from the lights reflection and NOT on the actual surface of the item(color is excellent). Good luck and feel free to email me with any questions.
