Antique 1930s Solid 18ct Yellow Gold & Platinum Diamond Ring:
Antique 1930s Solid 18ct Yellow Gold & Platinum Diamond RingThis ring is a superb example of an antique English ring that has a style that is characteristic of the 1930s. It could be worn as either a dress ring or could be used as an antique engagement ring. It is made out of solid 18 carat yellow gold and has a platinum head set with five sparkling diamonds, including a very substantial centre diamond of approx. 4mm diameter. The diamonds are graduated in size with the two diamonds next to the centre diamond measuring approx. 2.5mm diameter and the outer diamonds measuring approx. 1mm diameter. The diamonds look to be of a rare cut that was a precursor to the modern brilliant cut diamond but by modern standards the diamonds would equate to approx. one third of a carat. The ring is stamped inside as 18 carat and platinum and weighs 2.5g in total. It is currently UK size N / USA size - 6 1/2, which could easily be altered by any jeweller. The ring is in superb condition for its age, it looks almost brand new and must have received very little wear. This is a sale starting at 99p and the piece will go to the highest buyer. I'm happy to answer any questions or provide further photographs, please just ask. The postage for UK is special delivery which insures the item.
