Antique 1940's Native American Sterling Silver Royston Turquoise Hand Carved Ring Ring Size:The ring measures a size 10.75, however can be sized very easily by any jeweler. Unisex ring that can be worn by a man or a woman. Ring Style(s):The stone in this ring is one of the most amazing and one of a kind Royston Turquoise stones i've ever had the pleasure of selling. Royston turquoise is a very beautiful and highly sought after turquoise due to it's flare with color! This turquoise in particular has a light green color about it with hints of beige, quartz, brown coppery matrix. The mosaic of colors in this amazing stone is beyond beautiful! Slight natural crevice towards the edge of the stone, very minimal and it is natural. The stone has been cut into a domed shape with the sides being slanted so there is no real edge to the stone, expertly cut! The sides of the ring have beautiful old time Navajo Indian designs that feature arrows and other Navajo pictorialglyphs. The ring was Nickel plated over the sterling silver to prevent tarnish at one point, however that plating has worn away a bit, so that is what the scuff marks are, it is just plating worn away not damage. You can either have it replated or taken to a jeweler todissolvethe nickel off of the ring, or wear as is! Unfortunately Native American jewelry is being melted by the tons as the price of silver goes higher and higher, soon enough there won't be any more left! Ring Markings:The ring is marked sterling, and also marked with the old Bell trading post Bell glyph. The bell trading post company was a company that set up outside of major reservations during the 30's to the 60's and bought native american jewelry to resell!
