Antique 19th Century Victorian Large Pair Staffordshire Pottery Chicken Hens On Basket Nest Attractive & Collectible, , Free Shipping
This is a handsome pair of large antique pottery hens crafted in Staffordshire, England in the Victorian era of the 19th century. Each of the hens is attractively decorated with hand painted details to the face and feathers. The hens sit on charming little basket nests. The hens lift away from the nest to create a nice serving dish.
The pair is in overall very good condition. One hen appears to have a bit more wear than the other with a chip to the rim of the basket and a shallow chip to the body of the basket. Exhibits crazing to the glaze on the base as pictured. There is a hairline crack on the interior of both hens, but does not go all the way through to the exterior. This condition is consistent with age and use and does not compromise the quality of the pair. Each stands 7 1/2" in total height. The nest measures 2 1/4" in depth x 8 3/8" long x 6 5/8" wide. Once your order has shipped, Nine Caroline Antiques will send your tracking information via email. For all shipments sent via UPS, tracking information is usually available the next business day after the package has been shipped. You may check the status of your shipment at www.ups.com or by calling 1-800-pick-ups.
We do not ship via UPS to APO or FPO addresses or P.O. Boxes. Orders placed after 12 p.m. EST will not be shipped until the next business day. We do not ship any orders on Saturday or Sunday.
Our processing hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST. Orders placed Monday through Thursday before 12 p.m. EST will usually be shipped within 48 hours unless we’re really buried or Aunt Gladys wandered off from the nursing home again or something. All other orders will be shipped the next business day. We will always endeavor to ship items within 48 hours of confirmed payment received. If you absolutely need an item right away, give us a call and we’ll do our absolute best to accommodate you. *Please Note: We do not ship any orders on Friday, Saturday or Sunday as we are not in the office. ** Orders may be delayed due to incorrect address information, different shipping and billing address information, or availability of the product (for cleaning supplies or anything we stock and reorder).
For the majority of our international customers, we ship via the US Postal Service (USPS), Express and Priority. Due to recent changes in UK postal regulations, we can only ship to UK customers via USPS Express.
PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT offer USPS First Class shipping as an option, as this method is not currently trackable. USPS shipping requires at least 10 business days for the item to arrive to you. Your package will most likely be held at Customs and inspected. After passing inspection, the package is released to your country's respective national mailing service. Historically, we have found the total time for delivery to vary, with some packages arriving within 1 week and others within 1 month.
