Antique 19th C Meissen Porcelain Figurine Spring Model 2730 Meyer !
Up for sale is an antique Meissen porcelain figurine emblematic of Spring from the Seasons series.
Sculptor: Friedrich Elias Meyer
Modelled ca 1760
Marks: Meissen blue crossed swords from the 'button' period ca 1815-1924 (Ithink the figurine dates from the middle of the 19th century), impressed number 51, incised model number 2730X, painter's mark 43.
The figurine is probably a candlestick version of the initial model, its base is made slightly lower for extra stability and I've seen a candlestick with the same 8 5/8" (22cm)
