An Excellent Example of Persian Pesh-Kabz with the scabbard
Circa 19th Century
It is a high quality made armor piercing dagger. Solid walrusgrips.
"T" back blade which tapers to a point, appearing to have a watered Damascus finish.
Unusual scabbard is profusely engraved with continuing panels of floral and geometric patterns including precious stones. Upper section of scabbard is wider and lower portion ends in a decorated finial bend.
Section below a suspension ring has an inscription in Farsi.
