We are listing for your consideration a lovely Antique 19th Century Stoneware Salt Glazed Cobalt Blue Bee Sting Decorated 3 Gallon Red Wing Jug. This jug is in Excellent Condition withno otherchips, cracks, and or repairs. There is 1 glaze covered indent to the base rim and a few very small surface nicks to the base rim, all appear to have happened during the making. There is one large and one small salt glaze teardrop. We guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the exceptionally clean condition. The jug measures 15\" tall x 2\" at the top spout 10 1/2\" wide x 9 1/2\" at the base and weighs approximately 11lb 2oz. The jug has a wonderful large bee sting or tornado decoration incorporated into the 3 for gallons along with a incised line at the shoulder. A great squat shape to the jug with arounded shoulder andhand tooled handle. A great example of Midwestern stoneware dating from the mid to late 1800\'s.
