19th Century French Japy Freres Mantle Figural Clock. Paul Veronese designed self portrait bronze statue on top, not marked. Heavy clock made of slate. Two hairlines seen on front, one on each side of clock face. Actually looks like a design more than an accident. Face glass in front and back are perfect. Clocks works perfectly. Very quiet tick tock. Has beautiful, crisp bell. Clock strikes every hour. Movement is marked Medaille D\'or Japy Freres, 1405, and Duplan et Salles A Paris. Slate has slight spotting seen, normal for age and material. Face plate marked with letters, I cannot see what it says and Amsterdam. Japy Freres often made clocks for special people and places. Very rare. Buyer please have basic knowledge of clocks as the buyer will need to attach pendulum, set time and level clock. I package extremely well to insure safe delivery. This clock will be insured and signature confirmation through fedex when package arrives. I take pictures of the packaging process to deter buyers who want to say this clock didn\'t arrive.
