This is aLovely Antique Hair Comb From Around the Late 1800's Victorian Period .....I Think it Could Be French

The Actual Comb isMade From What Looks Like a Faux Tortoisehell Attached with Gilt Fixings to 2 Prongs in a Lovely Deep Amber / Orange Colour Early Celluloid

On The Top of the Comb is a Hinge with 3 Beautiful Carved Panels That Are On a Fixing At The Base Which Allows Each Panel To Move So That You Can Move Them in Different Positions.....See Photographs

When Fully Extended The Panels Together Measure Approx 14cms (5 1/2") Across x Approx 9 (3 1/2") High Excluding The Comb....The Comb is Approx 8.2cms (3 1/4") Long x 1.8cms (3/4"). From The Top of The Comb To The Bottom Tip of The Comb it Measures Approx 14cms (5 1/2") Long

It is in Good Condition For Its Age But if You Look Very Carefully At The Photograohs You Will See an Old Superbly Done Repair Which is Extremely Hard To Notice There are No Other Splits or Cracks ........See Photographs
