Antique 19thc Stoneware Drooping Tulip Decorated Ovoid Crock 2 Gal Excellent For SaleWe are listing today for your consideration a lovely Antique 19th Century Stoneware Saltglazed Cobalt Blue Drooping Tulip Decoated Ovoid 2 Gallon Crock. This crock is in Excellent Condition with some very minor small nicks to the outside of the top rim, some very minor shallow nicks and glaze chips to the rim of the base, 1 shallow chip to the base, and 1 very minor split on the inside of the top rim. The split appears to have happened during the making of the crock, there is brown glaze in it, it is beside a pressed area on the rim of the crock which happened during the making of the crock. The crock is 100% structually sound it rings true when you tap it. There is some staining and manufactured roughness, no other chips, cracks, and or repairs. We guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the excellent condition of this crock. The crock measures 12 3/4" tall x 9 1/4" wide x 6 1/2" at the mouth x 6 1/2" at the base and weighs approximately 10lb 1oz. The crock has a impressed circled 2 and a lovely heavy deep cobalt blue bordering design of leaves &drooping tulips, the handles both have blue, and there is a slight drip to all 4 of the longest leaves. Great ovoid shape and applied handles to this crock dating from the mid 1800's, possibly a Philadelphia piece. It would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
