This piece stands 20cm tall by 7cm diameter

The decoration is hand applied enamel and one side has 17th century soldier whist the other a red and white shield and star decoration - the figure has intricate decoration and is finely done. Not a transfer print - hand decorated

1656 is also handpainted on the bowl

The lid is finely enamelled, as is the base

Thepiece is19th century 1880 1890and hasa slightly non clear colour with small bubble imperfections. The clarity of the bowl is slightly off but the lid has more discolour and a slight opaque look - I am not sure if this was intentional or not

The base is upward conical with a pontil inside the bowl and not on the outer base as though it was blown through the inner

This is not a mass produced piece and notpressed , being hand blown into a mould.

The condition is good for age with no chips or damage , but some ageing to the upper rim area and lid, but this under loop looks like deliberate acid etching to me
