Here is an example of a superb antique Victorian oak Welsh church Pew benches, circa 1840 – 1850. It originate from a church in the area of Hawarden, North Wales. It has been reduced in length some time ago to 5’ 4” to accommodate most kitchens and hall ways.

Condition Report:

This is item is in excellent condition and commensurate with its age. Nominal old use marks but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Excellent colour patination to the timber. The pew has been reduced in length some time ago to 5’ 4” to accommodate most kitchens and hall ways. The pew has a carved "Fleur-de-lis" on one end – this is because the pew has been reduced in length and one end originally sat against the wall. Thepew has three square replacement patches in the seat - this is often found where pews have been shortened in length or where the branch of the tree joins the trunk; the knot has been replaced otherwise it would have been very rough to sit on. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.

A 7 day “no quibble” return policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. The buyer is required to cover the cost of return transit – the collection cost is the same as the delivery cost. You will be given a refund (excluding the delivery and collection cost) as long as the item is returned in the same condition. We will collect the item using our specialist Furniture Delivery Company to avoid any damage. We will not accept returns via a courier service due to experience of damaged items in transit. This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.
