Here is a recent estate find. This is a Beautiful Antique 1800's Ansonia French Victorian Mantel Clock circa 1882 named "Nero". The Case is made of Black Enameled Cast Iron With Engraved Gold Gilded Designs, Red Marble Pillar Columns and Spelter Victorian Handles on the Sides. It measures approx. 11" tall x 11 1/2" wide x 6 1/2"deep, and is very Heavy. It has a Signed 8 Day "Premium Version" Time and Strike Silver Chrome & Brass Mechanical Movement with Coil Spring Gong Chime which Strikes Once on the Half Hour , and the Correct amount of Times On The Hour. This is the Premium Version Movement with the Brass Barrels Surrounding the Springs and Shiny Chrome Movement Plates. The Movement is signed "Ansonia Clock Co. Patented A June 14 81' Patented June 18 1882 5 1/2". The Dial is an Oversized 2 Piece Porcelain Dial with Open Escapement, Bevelled Glass, and Gilt Sash and Bezel. It is signed "Ansonia Clock Co. Patented". This is in Overall Good Condition Condition with Normal Wear from Age. Some of the Paint has been Touched Up, but Most Of The Original Finish is Present!
