Description
Antique Victorian Anglo-Indian trinket or jewellery box, produced from deeply carved sandalwood, inlaid to the top with mosaic \"Sadeli\" work panels, using tiny pieces of plain and stained bone, pewter and hardwoods. The box would have been produced in India for the European/English export market. AGECirca 1860.
SIZEThe box measures 20.5cm (8¼\") long, 15.5cm (6¼\") wide and 8.5cm (3½\") high. CONDITIONThe box is in a good condition, although there are several sections of of inlay missing, especially to the corners to the lid. Please refer to the above photographs for details of condition.
