Mercury Statue Ansonia Clock in very good runningcondition. Movement has been oiled andthe springs greased. The black base, bronze statue and clock case have originalfinish. Has an enamel dial, convex,beveled glass, open escapement, black hands and Roman numbers. Dial is marked Ansonia Clock Company as isthe movement. Patented June 1881. Dimensions : 17 ½”wide,7 ½” deep, 15” high. Weight before packing 24lbs. Base has a fewsmall nicks. The wings on the statue helmet have tips missing. The tip of the urn on the top of the clock ismissing. These small defects do notdetract from this Handsome Clock and the overall good quality. I service all my clocks and have been in thebusiness since 1987.
