Up for offer is recent Estate sale find, an Antique SIGNED Ostby & Barton 1930's Late Period Art Deco LARGE RARE COLORFUL Natural Dendritic Agate 10k Solid Yellow Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. This This Original SIGNED Ostby & Barton Antique 1930's Late Period Art Deco 10k Solid Yellow Gold ring is set with a Fabulous LARGE 16x12mm Dendritic Agate gemstone that is all natural and guaranteed as such. The pattern in this agate resembles Golden Tree Ferns. This Dendritic Agate is a RARE GOLDEN color as most Dendritic Agate has Black/Grey Dendrites only. This Dendritic Agate is an Unusual Curved Top & Bottom Rectangular Flat Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. The patterns in this agate are formed completely by nature and are guaranteed as such. Dendritic Agate is an almost transparent chalcedony with dendritic tree or fern-like inclusions of iron or manganese. The famous Russian jeweler Carl Faberge famous for his priceless eggs, who was a supplier to the Russian Imperial Court from 1885 to 1916, used dendritic agates together with diamonds and for many of his pieces. This great ring has Beautiful Deco Architectural Details on the shoulders. This classic ring also has fantastic Hand Milgrain edging around the top and bottom half bezel. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading or embroidery.
