Antique Art Nouveau Solid 18ct Rose Gold Ruby & Dutch Cut Diamond RingThis ring is a beautiful antique piece which has a style that is very characteristic of the Art Nouveau movement. The shank of the ring is made out of solid 18ct rose gold with 18ct yellow gold flower detailing on the head of the ring. The ring is set with a deep pink ruby of approx. 3mm diameter as well as with two Dutch cut diamonds of approx. 1.5mm each. Dutch cut is the cut used before the advent of modern diamond cutting technology and these diamonds were literally cleaved by hand. Such diamonds are becoming increasingly rare and sought after. The ring has a crossover setting, with the shank of the ring being expertly crafted to twist to meet the top of the head on one side and the bottom on the other. The ring weighs 1.5g in total and is currently size K (US - 5 1/8), which could easily be altered by any jeweller. The ring is in superb condition and looks to have hardly even been worn at all.This is a sale starting at 99p and the piece will go to the highest buyer.
