IMMEDIATE – PROFESSIONALLY PACKED – FULLY INSURED - SHIPPING Buyer pays $12.50 for fully insured shipping, very safely packed. (That is for U.S. LOWER 48 only.) Elsewhere, ’s Shipping Calculator works like a charm. All Customs forms will state the actual selling price of items shipped internationally. Even if your love of fish is limited to Grillés Esturgeon Blanc avec Caviar, you’ll fall in love with this hand-blown, crystal-clear example of American glass from the 3rd quarter / 19th Century.
It is 12” tall, and the bowl attached to the foot is 8” in diameter.
Condition = Excellent
There are no chips, bites, nips, cracks or scratches. As with glass of the period, you will find an inclusion or so as well as scattered bubbles – all major factors in the charm of old glass. (See image above for the only noticeable inclusion.)
There are no popped bubbles . . .
. . . even though a couple are frighteningly near the rim. It’s all part of old glass.
Let’s look at lots of pictures, ok?
More images and commentary continue below my three "Prime Directives:"
1st: I never, under any circumstances, use a reserve, and rarely do I ask for an opening offer of more than $9.00 (sometimes even less).
2nd: I never end sales early.
3rd: I don’t usually clean, repair, or otherwise monkey around with anything. I push enough dust aside to expose any flaws, but if I discovered it in some dusty attic, you can look forward to a little dust on it when it gets to your house. If it has a flaw or a wart, I'll tell you about it.
So rest easy and have some fun.
Since I list so few pieces of clear glass, I tried all sorts of backgrounds. I can’t recommend old nickel punchboards. (Pay no attention to the next image. It is only for people I like.)
Dang! That didn’t sound right. I probably like you too, but anyway . . . Forget I said it.
Starting today, or at least tomorrow, I’ll “code” my listings for certain people who’ve asked me to do it. They don’t want to look at things that aren’t antique – or some only want to see “fun stuff.” You get the drill. So . . .
Tomato Soup = Nice estate things
Classic Recipe = Fun stuff in any category.
Cream of Asparagus = Something very, very special indeed.
ABSOLUTELY NO DISAPPOINTMENTS
Are we clear on this? Okay, then . . .
My preferred method of payment is PayPal.
