This sofa and chair has been covered and sitting in a basement since the early 1900s so it does have the OLDBASEMENT musty smell to the upholstery is in desperate need of replacement but I am so very suprised by how beautiful the old walnut handcarved wood still is - it is amazingly beautiful!
If you will notice in some pics I have the cushions turned to the all brown side and in others I have turned them over to the floral side so you can see how they were initially made ~ how awesome!
The wood's condition is amazing ~ it has been so very protected over the years. You will be amazed, likewise.
The springs underneath need a complete makeover and lots of TLC.

My family and I have been collecting various treasures for years just as our parents did and their parents did before them. Nowadays, we run a small antique shop in the heart of the historic district in Lebanon, Illinois (the home of the Mermaid House where Charles Dickens once stayed).
We believe in treating everyone fairly and offer a variety of goods at a fair price. Though we are not experts in any particular field of collecting, we have a pretty good eye and we describe each listing to the best of our ability. We do our very best to list every detail about an item and have plenty pictures for you to get a great view of the item from just about every angle, as if you are actually holding it in your own hands. We will not intentionally misrepresent any part of an item's description; if we see a crack, nick, chip, scratch, flea bite, or any distractions of note, we will clearly list it in the item description and try to get a close up picture of it for you.
However, we are human and we are subject to make human errors. If you find that we have missed a flaw or were mistaken about an item, we will happily give you a full refund (including shipping) upon return of the item in the same condition as it was sent by us, within 3 days from the time that you received the item. All we ask is that you allow us to make it right before you leave negative response.
