This
Bowie-Style knife was found in the basement of an 18th century home
in Massachusetts. This item may very well be historically significant. The
blade is just The knife weighs 8.8 ounces. The tip of the blade is not pointed
and it is possible it may have been broken off. The item especially its handle
does compare with civil war era knives. The handle is solid and there is no
looseness. The blade is just under 6” long and the blade with handle measures
10 11/16”.
