Antique Bunker Hill Boston Mass Sterling Souvenir Spoon Campbell Metcalf 1800’s For Sale
This nice spoon was manufactured by Campbell Metcalf Silver Co. (1892-1900). The bowl shows a relief of the monument with the words “BUNKER HILL 1775” “221 FT HIGH”. The handle has “BOSTON” at the base, above it a pot of Baked Beans, the Old Elm, and at the tip the Old South Church. The reverse shows the hallmark C(crown)M with 925 STERLING 1000. Measures about 4” in length and weighs 9.2 grams. This spoon is showing some wear and tarnish after more than 100 years. There is a small mark in the bowl that I only noticed after the photos, please see #1 and #2 lower left side. It is not a dent as it does not show on the reverse. Other than that a worthy historical collectible.
