Antique Cast Iron Figural Animal Pig Dinner Hotel Front Desk Wind Up Bell:
***BE SURE TO DOUBLE-CLICK THE PICTURES TO SHARPEN THE FOCUS MUCH BETTER!!
This listing features:::: an antique cast iron figural hotel bell in the shape of a pig. The bell rings only when you turn the winder on the bottom. Not when you push the nose or tail down. This, and the replaced screws on the bottom, lead me to believe there is an issue with the mainspring. I'm actually pretty handy with this sort of thing, so I'll open her up and make a report. Approx. 7" X 3.5" X 3.5". w/FREE USA s/h/i. I will not sell early to any offer once the first offer is placed. That's our policy.
THANKS FOR LOOKING.

I took this apart and actually repaired the mainspring. Now the bell rings and it winds up how it's meant to do. It was not broken-the interior tab/catch on the winding axle was simply not gripping and holding onto the mainspring's hole. But I have not figured out how to put it correctly back together to activate the tail and nose. I'll add pics of the pig taken apart-maybe you can see what I'm not. In any event, it's all here, it just needs a better mechanic to figure out the final assembly. On Apr-24-13 at 16:53:38 PDT, seller added the following information:
