This is an antique silver finish cast iron wall or table plaque with three musical angels or cherubs.

I would estimate it dates sometime from the 1890s to the 1910s, given its Art Nouveau style.

It measures approximately 7 1/2 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches long (19 cm x 14 cm). It stands about 3/4 inch high (1.9 cm).

The detail on the piece is beautiful. One of the angels is holding a violin in one hand and a bow in the other, while sitting on a stack of books. The other is playing the cello. The third is playing what look to be the drums, though it does look like an old large kettle to me. The overall image is just great.

Unfortunately, about 25% of it has surface rust which has eaten away at the silver finish, mostly on the top half of the middle cherub and in the bottom right section. Still, it\'s a very sturdy piece and would look wonderful if it was re-surfaced.

There are three protruding pieces on the back, and one of them has a hole in it for you to hang the piece up with. Otherwise, it lays flat on the table.

There are no cracks or breaks to the cast iron.

It weighs just a touch under 1 pound (450 g).
