Antique Chinese Court Necklace With Coral, Carved Nuts/pits & Braided Silks For Sale
Antique Chinese court necklace with one-hundred-seven (one missing from the original 108) 13-mm (1/2-inch) carved seeds or fruit pits in three strands of 28 and one of 27 beads, thirty beads of 8-mm (5/16-inch) diameter coral in groups of 5 on three different strands, three 26-mm (13/16-inches) carved "head" beads of unknown blue material, possibly a type of ceramic, and a 1 1/2-inch, two-part gourd-shaped "Buddha Head" bead suspending a 1 3/8-inch rectangular pendant and 1 1/8-inch drop. The various silk textiles include finely woven blue flat tapes, red and white woven tapes and tubes with swastika patterns, blue silk cord and white stringing cord. There are also two metal disks, filigree caps on the four drops and small white beads above the caps. This necklace has been in storage for many years and is in very good antique condition with the aforementioned missing bead, a missing cap on the bottom drop which is wired to the silk tape and a chipped coral bead, measures approximately 74-inches total length and 46-inches top-to-bottom as configured.PLEASE NOTE: Electronic payments are expected within two days, other forms of payment within 5 days.
