Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty Mandarin Surcoat With Rank Badge For Sale

Very rare antique Chinese Late Qing Dynasty dark navy silk brocade first-rank mandarin's surcoat with rank badge (Bu-Fu or Pu-Fu), featuring a Kesi or K'o-SSu (silk tapesty) rank badge stitched on the front.
The rank badge shows a crane (for first-rank civil official) with Buddhist and Taoist treasure symbols and a border of swastikas. Woven with painted details.
The silk brocade surcoat features woven medallions of double-dragon patterns and 5 finely pierced gilt metal toggle buttons. Unlined.
Late 19th to early 20th century.
Condition: Very good condition. Light stains on ground. Minor splits in rank badge. Back badge missing.
Measurements: Cuff to cuff 177cm, collar to hem 118cm, armpit to armpit 75cm.
