This is an amazing antique sterling silver spoon that depicts a gold mining pack mule in front of a majestic mountains scene. The handle is engraved with detailed foliage and a Colorado Columbine, as well as the word "columbine" on one leaf. The back is marked "sterling", and bears a designer hallmark that appears to be a "PM", but I am not quite sure. This is a beautifully detailed spoon, that would make an excellent present for the collector in your life. It is in amazing antique condition. It has minor surface wear.
This spoon measures 5" long. It weighs 13 grams.

About Thumb Out: I left my office in Chicago in 2011 for Hawai'i. Ihad a3 month itinerary and my job was waiting for me upon my return. Six weeks in, I called my boss and told him to fill my position.I didn't know it then, but I would end up staying on the Big Island for a full year.I discovered there is vitality in my life if I accept what comes my way, trust my gut, and accept redirection every time it presents itself. I got around the island with my thumb, going on one adventure after another, sometimes by invitation from my ride.
And that's where the "ThumbOut" name comes from. I've been demoralized when waiting for over and hour for someone to pick me up, sometimes with the sun only a few inches from disappearing behind the ocean. But I also learned that even if you're barely visible from the road as you run toward it: keep your thumb out. More than once I had a car go in reverse to get me, my backpack throwing me back-and-forth asI ran, waving my thumb at their rearview mirrors. Every single moment is an opportunity and putting my desires "out to the universe" has taken my life in wonderful directions. I admit, letting go of control was not easy and I'm not done learning.
In April of 2012 I came back to my homestate of Colorado to apprentice with my father, who has been a dealer of all things vintage for 20 years (His name is colohotspring) He has taught me the skills and knowledge to equip me to head into the world and chase down my dreams.
My Dream: My dream is to be financiallyindependent and spiritually untethered. Living on the road makessaying "yes"second nature. I wish to make my way without settling down; to travel and make a living without compromise.I look to live without walls and get my produce from a market; where I can let the ocean water dry on my skin after a morning swim. Once I have a responsible balance in my bank account, I'm headed to Asia, where Iwilltry, fail, learn and try againto be successful at internationaltrade. Do you have any experience with import/export, or any have travel stories you'd like to share?? Shoot me a message!
Thank you: I've had this little story about myself and my dreams on my items for the past year. In that time I've heard from many wonderful travelers, both of the world and the spirit. Your encouragement has kept me optimistic in times of doubt. Thank you, and carry on!
