Disarming Salt glazed stoneware pottery figure of a greyhound or whippet, probably from the Brampton or Derbyshire potteries, circa 1840.

Charmingly formed, with an endearingly friendly expression.

Marked with an incised X to base.

Base has a chip at the rim in the back and a crack, most visible when the piece is turned upside down, which appears to have been repaired with glue in the past. Please see photos for a good view of both of these imperfections.
