Antique Rustic Working Duck Decoy, Hand Carved and Hand PaintedThis hand-carved and hand-painted decoy has been in our family for approximately 100 years. Its carving is very primitive as compared to the newer decoys. It has carved-out eyes rather than glass, and is in two pieces--the body with attached head.
The paint is dark brown with off-white embellishments. There is a hook on the underside for line attachment; as well as a lead weight bar nailed to the underside.There is a small scrape on the top of the body, probably from buckshot, and wear especially on the tail. Measurements: 13\" long, 6\" tall, 5-1/2\" wide; weight 1 pound 9 ounces.
