Some surviving American Revolutionary Soldiers also had pictures made before they died.No glass or CELLULOID ambrotype picture looks like it has varnish on it. Most of the black finish has worn of the brass pin and some has attached to the photo. The Picture appears to be a British Officer of either the revolutionary war era or the war of 1812.
