This is a Superb Silver Box From the 19th Century & Would Have Been Made To Carry a Personal Copy of The 'Qur'an' /Koran'

It is Made From Silver in a Hexagon Shape with the 'Bismalah' Eight Pointed Star on One Side with Calligraphic Scripting Round The Star & Also Round The Edges of the Box On The Other Side is a Large Islamic Script Symbol/Letter .....See Photographs

It Opens with a Hinged Lid & Catch To Reveal a Gold Gilt Wash Inside.....See Photographs

On Each Side it Has Loops For Hanging on an Amulet Etc.....See Photographs

It Measures Approx 5cms (2 ")Round xApprox 1.4cms (1/2") Deep & It Weighs Approx 34.4gs (1.215 ozs)

It is in Good ConditionFor Its Age...The Hinge is a Little Loose if I'm Being Picky But Nothing Serious...It Opens & Closes Fine & Shuts Tightly ......See Photographs
