Antique Early 19thc American Period Sheraton Chest Of Drawers Walnut Mahogany:
Offered for offers is an early 19th century Sheraton chest of drawers measuring 42 ½” high & 40” wide. Top measures 40 ½” wide & is 19 ¾“ deep with an appropriate rear over hang. Four graduated drawers with matching flame veneered fronts. I suspect this might be walnut but may also be a brown mahogany. Bought out of Reading PA. All drawers are dovetailed & beaded. The drawers runners are worn but run smoothly. There is some small chipping to the beading. One of the balls of the right front foot has a chip. Retains its locks. Brasses arereplacements. Evidence of other pulls. The chest has been refinished at least once. There are some cross grain scratches on the sides from previous stripping. Top has a reeded edge & is in good condition with some burns & scratches. Very nice useable antique conditio. Larger photos for detail may be sent by request.
