For your consideration is an antique, pre 1930, wood carved folk art barber shop straight razor trade sign mounted on an old wood foundry mold base. This old trade sign would have been displayed inside a barber shop. Fully opened, the razor measures 24\" long and is 17\" long when closed. The old foundry mold base measures 9 3/4\" long x 2 1/2\" deep and is 2\" tall. Mounted with two heavygaugewires, the razor stands 20\" tall with the blade raised vertically straight up. Several dings, scrapes, minor wood loss and silver paint loss from age, as my pictures will show. The wires fit inside two holes drilled in the razor\'s underside. There is some wood loss around one of the holes where the wire inserts on the underside of the razor and a small nail is in place to help secure the mount. This is on the underside of the razor and is notnoticeablewith normal viewing. Opening offer of only $38 and ! A great display piece for your home!
