For offer is an original Emerson brass blade electric fan model 29646. The body of the fan has gone through a restoration to help bring the fan back to presentable condition. As with most of the fans I buy and sell, this Emerson was originally in pretty rough shape. I was able to remove all the rust from the body, sand it clean, prime it, paint it, and give it a nice smooth finish. Some of the finish is actually nicer than my car's paint job (although I do drive a Kia). The brass nuts and cap nuts on the front were replaced with new solid brass replacements. The wiring has also been replaced with modern black cotton covered wire. The fan is 17.5" high, 13" wide, and the blades are 12" in diameter. The fan runs smooth, but I think it is running a little slower than it normally runs. I'm still not an expert on the electrical side of things, but I was at least about to get it in working order again. It does function, but if you plan on using it a lot I would think about addressing the issue just to make sure the fan does not become damaged. It has a second lease on life, I would hate to see it go to waste now. Its a beautiful fan, but there are of course minor issues here and there. At some point (for what reason I do not know) someone painted the blades with what looks to be gold paint. It was a nightmare to remove, and so the back of the blades are still not up to original condition. The painted parts of the fan also have some imperfections where sanding and cleaning was more difficult. I only point these things out to give as fair of an evaluation as possible. You can always refer to the images to help in your appraisal. I appreciate your interest and please offer knowing that the money I get for this fan will be going towards continuing my restoration practice so that rusted and damaged fans and get a second chance to last another 100 years. If you have any questions or comments, or would like to see more images please let me know. Thanks!
